This is going to be a good week. It starts with Star Wars day, and ends with the new Star Trek movie, so how could it not be?

I went and saw X-men Origins: Wolverine with Shawn on Friday. I didn't love it. It wasn't awful, but... well, Gambit sucked. *sadface* And the ending confused the hell out of me. Curt needs to help me get a couple of things straight in my head, it seems. I'd still recommend the movie, thought. It certainly had some good moments.

Spent Saturday in Sudbury with Lindsay. I picked up the newest issue of Supernatural Magazine (which reminds me... Happy birthday, Sam! I didn't forget.) and a copy of V for Vendetta. I've decided to start with Allan Moore's stuff, and go from there. As if it took me this long to get into reading graphic novels. *facepalm*

Since I'm special, I got to see 'The Wrath of Con' a day early. I stayed up late last night, because the CSI: Miami season finale is on tonight, and I know my folks will insist on watching it. Which isn't so bad now that Cassie is the new medical examiner, but still. Horatio and his stupid sunglasses. Ugh! Anyway... ( Cutting here for Gossip Girl spoilers. )

This was one of the e-mails from Stacey waiting for me when I got to the lab this morning:

My guy in bed 2 smells like rotting foot and he’s sleeping on top of the comforter, so I’m going to leave that one for you to wash today.

Needless to say, I wore latex gloves while loading the washer.

Holy mind-numbing boredom, Batman! I have received exactly one fax in the last two days, and it's not even one I can do anything with. There is no one on Facebook today, and I've done the wires, the laundry, and made all my calls. And the damn shredder is still busted - and no, I didn't break it - so I can't even amuse myself by emptying the cabinet out. I've had Open Up And Say, Ahh... on repeat since I got here at 9:40. *headdesk* I need more coffee.

I have beer to drink and family to annoy, so I'll make this brief.

As I sit here at my desk and look out our front doors, there is almost an inch of snow on Stacey's car.

Yes, you read that right. There is a mini blizzard happening outside. In April. *headdesk* Oh, how I love northern Ontario.

I've finally crossed over to the dark side. I bought myself an ipod yesterday. And I'm completely in love with it, even though my play list is made up almost entirely of music stolen from my brother, as I had to use his computer. I also realized that my feet are so tiny, I can actually wear kids shoes. Heh. So I'm now the proud owner of a pair of Clone Wars sneakers. They have velcro, people! \o/ Since I clearly have no self-control, I also bought new pjs and some more Watchmen stuff. This time it was the film companion and the Black Freighter DVD.

Oh, and Show? That was so not what I had in mind when I asked for a comedy episode. Like, not at all. Thank you for traumatizing me. Really. Jerks...

At least I don't have to do the wires today.

My MP3 player crapped out on me at the bus stop this morning. Scary, scary Wincest has found it's way onto my f-list. My favorite black and red argyle socks have a giant hole in the heel. Um, Universe? You know it's Thursday, right? Right?

Fuck.

I stole Nick's copy of Number of the Beast, and I'm playing it as loudly as I dare until my shift officially starts in 20 minutes. I swear, tonight better be a comedy episode. We're long over due for one, especially after the clusterfuck that was last week. I need me some goofy Jared!!!

I wish the weather would make up it's mind. Yesterday I was quite comfortable running around in tights and my denim jacket. Today I have my heavy dress pants and my wool jacket, and I'm still cold. Arg.

And on an entirely unrelated note, I'm ever so amused that my playlist jumps from Iron Maiden to Jack Johnson. I need to go make coffee...

I'll be a busy little beaver today, so I'm making this brief.

~ Still not sure what I think about 'On The Head of a Pin'. However, I can now say that I'm completely terrified of Sam. Yikes.

~ Bought myself a new coffee maker for the lab. It's a single cup thinger. It's little and black and shiny, and I've named it Luke. How very original of me. *eyeroll*

~ Remembered my Bad Company mix today. \o/

~ I have to mess with the shredder again today. Lets hope I don't jam it again.

~ The Watchmen soundtrack makes me want to dance. I really have no idea why. *shrugs*

~ I'm hoping to have a new laptop by the end of April. Then maybe I can get back to checking my entire f-list. I haven't looked at any of my communities in... 3 weeks? Eeek.

~ So, aside from there being a Dr. Carter and a Dr. Pratt in the area? We also have a Dr. Nugent. Ha!

~ I have no idea why I chose to wear my cute little grey sweater dress when I knew I would be mopping and scrubbing toilets today. *headdesk*

So far this morning, I've scared the hell out of Stace twice. She's hiding in the consult room with the door closed, and she's still not used to having someone else here during the day. So when I opened the door to let her know I was here, she almost jumped out of her chair. Same thing when one of the suppliers called. I just about gave her a heart attack last week when she came into the kitchen looking for a granola bar and met me coming out of the bathroom. I can probably get her one more time before I leave today. Heh. Everyone is on holidays this week, so I have no new referrals. That leaves me with nothing to do but clean out the file cabinets. If I get a chuckle out of startling her when I go to put the laundry away, then awesome.

I'm taking a quick break from the phones. The doctor who does the follow ups and post-sleep consultations has had his flight from Toronto canceled two weeks in a row. *headdesk* He wants to get up here in a few weeks, so I get to try and rebook everyone for the second time. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Oh my god, you guys! My poor laptop has died on me again (It's the screen this time. Hardware instead of hard drive, just to be different *huffs*) and left me without access to my precious LJ and Facebook. *SOB* I'm currently using my brother's ancient desktop, because I've gotten desperate. However, the guys are on their way over as I type, and I'm actually rather frightened to see how many effing pages I'm behind on my f-list. I shudder at the thought. *shudders* See?

In other news, my new job is fantastic. I get to drink coffee, listen to my tunes, and mess with the fax machine all day. My last shift at the god forsaken dollar store is tomorrow night, and afterward I'm going to get as drunk as humanly possible with Linds and Shawn. Woot.

Also, I've seen Watchmen twice now. That's two times and counting! Cheap night + day job = \o/. I bet I can hit 7. Depends on how long it stays.

Caught Watchmen with Curt and Shawn tonight. *flails like a flaily thing* It was everything I expected it to be, and I absolutely cannot wait to see it again. And again. And maybe one more time. I'm so happy Curt talked me into picking up a copy of the graphic novel. I read the whole thing in two days, and developed a deep, deep love for the awesomely dorky Dan Dreiberg. Then spent the next three weeks spazzing the fuck out waiting for today.
